I just got back from Gord’s bday party at dex’s place.. i was pretty zng from the whole day in church.. so was looking forward to a time of celebration and chilling with them.
DEX’s HOUSE is GORGEOUS! 3 stories high.. 2 living rooms.. spare rooms here and there.. a rooftop patio, a large kitchen, hidden toilets.. spiral stairs (i love them!).. it looks like one of those houses featured in the Straits Times Life section for its beautiful architecture.. It’s one of the many perks of being wealthy.. But when you look at Dex.. he’s such a down-to-earth guy.. Really! Even his room is one of the smaller rooms in the house… and i wonder why he doesn’t have a proper bed frame too.. haha.. funny guy la..
The food was pretty awesome! my kind of food! Potato, ham, egg salad with bacon bits… i love! There was Marcus’ style of Aglio Olio pasta.. with LOTS of garlic.. yum! The dips were superb too.. as well as the corn beef.. The butter rice made by Sy was quite tasty.. it was like a carbo and meat meal.. haha.. nice! Kept eating.. i think cos it was past my dinner time by the time i reached there.. i just kepy chomping away!
The birthday song was sung in an i-don’t-care-what-chord-it’s-in manner.. quite funny la.. i just sang in my own tune.. while every other guy was blasting away.. Sy and Justin celebrated too.. their bday is just around the corner!.. The guys kept tau-poking each other.. It’s really amusing to see fully grown men.. up to 30+ year old men doing such things.. everyone doesn’t want to grow up.. haha.. its a good thing la.. =)
The chocolate cake was scrumptious! Wonderfully moist, soft and chocolatey without being too empowering in taste.. just nice! Awesome with a scoop of Bailey’s ice-cream…..
i think i had a lot of good food tonight! Spend the last 20 min of my time there.. lounging on the couch.. just in a kind of sedate state.. haha.. feels good.. occasionally talking to the people around me.. its my kind of fun..
