Went to catch Ocean’s 13 with Gordon, Chris, Drey, Dex, Kev and another girl who’s name i’m not really sure how to spell… (hmm.. was it Dina or Lena or Deena? or none of those?).. oops..
Anyways.. it was a quite a good show i must say. Had some good comedy lines, altho some scenes were a bit too fast moving for the audience to appreciate it more.. felt a bit like a hit and go thing.. but overall.. i think the plot was not bad.. =)
George Clooney (as Danny Ocean) is as dashing as ever.. have u ever seen such a handsome guy at his age? (besides Richard Gere of course) George has such a charm in the movie.. haha.. Brad Pitt (as Rusty Ryan) looks ka tad tired on screen.. make-up wasn’t much help in covering up all the laugh lines and wrinkles.. getting old maybe? or maybe raising 4 kids with Angelina has taken a toll on him.. heh.
*warning: mini spoiler ahead*

The storyline of the movie involves the team seeking revenge for their friend Reuben against hotel tycoon Willy Bank.
Apparently, Ruben was cruelly cheated and as a result of that, he had a heart attack. And so the team wanted to ruin Bank’s hotel (aptly named “The Bank”) on the night of its grand opening. They came up with a plan to rig the various games at the casion so that the players will win instead of the hotel. Well, we all know how all casinos are rigged so that the casino earns more than what is paid out.. so they have a plan to counter this big time! how exciting! But i’m sure its not as easy as it looks.. in fact.. some ‘tricks’ they used seem a bit hard to believe.. nevertheless, they acted with much conviction and and luck. haha…
Part of their scheme is to destroy any chance of Bank’s winning the prestigious Five Diamond Award (apparently the highest distinction grated to a casino-hotel).. Bank was so sure of winning, he even bought a necklace of 5 large diamonds (worth US$250 million… how many zeros is that?!) to commemorate the yet-to-be success.
This process was quite funny.. Rusty and Danny polluted a hotel room with biochemicals. In the lobby, a disguised Saul is in line to check in. He “accidentally” drops a Five Diamond Award folder, catching the attention of Bank’s aide who immediately rushes to assist Saul. In line behind them, the genuine Five Diamond Award reviewer is rudely jolted and then given the chemical-treated room by a bribed clerk. For the rest of his stay, he is treated quite horrendously. poor guy..
Saul was treated like a king.. and needless to say.. the real guy couldn’t wait to leave the hotel.
And of course, like in any other movie, there must be some problem that they need help solving in order to carry out their plan smoothly. This time it was an artificial intelligence security system that has a brain that reasons… which means, it is near impossible to break it. The only time it will lock down and reboot in 3+minutes, is when there is a natural disaster. And so, the team creates a natural disaster.. an artificial earthquake to be exact, created by a huge underground tunnel boring machine which the team purchased.
wow.. the things you can do with lots to money!
As the time to the grand opening draws near.. everything was set in place..
The dices rigged, the shufflers riged, every ball on the roulette also rigged. The big time gamblers were invited.. and the earthquake party began! For those 3 minutes, Bank was locked in the security room awaiting for the reboot to be completed.. while everyone else in the casino was winning big money. The final earthquake got everyone running out of the casino with their truckloads of money, leaving Bank in a state of shock and defeat. He could only watch helplessly as the team’s helicopter lifted the entire case of diamond necklace from the hotel.
A happily ever after for Danny Ocean and his team with Ruben fully recovered and giving him back what he rightfully owns. Kinda like Robin Hood and his men don’t you think?
There’s more to the story actually.. go check it out yourself.. altho I would suggest you to rent the DVD when it comes out, rather than going to the movies to catch it. Its a nice watch, not a must watch. =)

I wld watch ANYTHING w George Clooney in it.. SWOOOOOOON.
TOTALLY agree!
